Our guests began their South American adventure with excitement in the air as they departed London for the vibrant capital of Lima. After arriving, the group quickly got their first taste of Peru’s rich history, exploring colonial streets and the remarkable San Francisco Convent. The journey then continued to the beautiful “White City” of Arequipa, where the charming Santa Catalina Monastery and scenic viewpoints gave everyone a wonderful introduction to the culture and architecture of the Andes.
The adventure truly came alive as the group travelled through the dramatic landscapes of the Andes towards the breathtaking Colca Canyon. Surrounded by mountains and peaceful villages, guests enjoyed relaxing moments in the natural hot springs before continuing to the shores of Lake Titicaca. Visiting the fascinating Uros Floating Islands and Taquile Island was an experience unlike anywhere else in the world, offering a glimpse into traditions that have been preserved for generations.
One of the most anticipated moments of the tour arrived as the group travelled by scenic train to the legendary Machu Picchu. Hidden among misty mountain peaks, this ancient Inca city left everyone in awe. Walking through the stone terraces and temples, surrounded by incredible scenery, was a highlight our guests will never forget. The historic city of Cusco added even more charm to the experience with its fascinating blend of Inca and colonial heritage.
The journey then shifted from ancient history to vibrant city life as the group flew to Rio de Janeiro. Standing beneath the iconic Christ the Redeemer and looking out across the city’s coastline was a truly unforgettable moment. Soon after came another natural spectacle: the powerful Iguazu Falls. Walking along the trails and witnessing the dramatic Devil’s Throat was simply breathtaking.
The final chapter of the journey unfolded in Buenos Aires, where elegant streets, historic neighbourhoods, and a passionate tango show created the perfect finale. A traditional day at a gaucho ranch gave guests a taste of Argentina’s countryside life before the group headed home.
After nearly three weeks of incredible sights, cultures, and shared experiences, our travellers returned to London with unforgettable memories and stories that will last a lifetime.
