From the very first take-off in London to the final farewell in Johannesburg, this journey through Southern Africa was packed with wow moments. It all began at the mighty Victoria Falls, where the Zambezi River crashes down in a curtain of mist and thunder. Standing on the Zimbabwean side, our guests had front row views of what locals call “The Smoke that Thunders.” The highlight? A sunset cruise on the Zambezi, golden skies overhead and pure calm all around.

Next stop, Cape Town. Think dramatic coastlines, colourful streets in Bo-Kaap and the buzz of a city that knows how to live well. A full Cape Peninsula tour delivered it all: seals off Duiker Island, winding views along Chapman’s Peak, and the windswept beauty of Cape Point. At Boulders Beach, the penguins stole the show. Riding the cable car up Table Mountain was another standout moment, with sweeping views over the city and ocean. Add a relaxed wine tasting at Spier Wine Farm and it was the perfect blend of scenery and indulgence.

The Garden Route brought a change of pace. Knysna’s lagoon cruise to the Heads was peaceful and scenic, while Oudtshoorn impressed with the vast Cango Caves and up close encounters at a working ostrich farm. In Tsitsikamma, dramatic coastal landscapes and the famous Bloukrans Bridge added a sense of adventure before the journey continued north.

Sun City offered time to unwind, from resort fun at the Valley of Waves to relaxed evenings soaking up the atmosphere. Then came the big one: safari in Kruger National Park. An early morning game drive delivered unforgettable sightings, including elephants, giraffes and big cats in their natural habitat. It was the kind of experience that stays with you long after you return home.

The journey wrapped up with panoramic views at Blyde River Canyon and a final city tour in Johannesburg. Fifteen days, countless memories, and a group of very happy travellers heading home already talking about their next adventure.
